We prioritize verifiable claims that are consequential, widely shared or likely to cause public confusion.

We trace claims to their original form, consult primary records and contact relevant people or institutions when possible.

True, Mostly True, Misleading, False and Unverified labels describe how well the available evidence supports the claim.

New material evidence is added transparently. Substantial errors receive a dated correction note.
